Some Highlights of NGCC
- Winner of the John P. Kee VIP Music Conference "New Artist Showcase"
- Winner of the Gospel Heritage Foundation Youth and College Choir Competition
- Performed as "Special Guest Choir" at Disney World's High School Gospel Classic and received the coveted "Mickey Trophy"
- Made numerous television appearances on BET's popular "Bobby Jones Gospel Show" and the WORD Network's "Bobby Jones Classic Gospel" show
- The choir has performed with Grammy winners such as Kirk Franklin, Pastor Shirley Caesar, Hezekiah Walker & Love Fellowship Choir, Mississippi Mass Choir, as well as with Dr. Bobby Jones, Pastor John P. Kee, & Rev. Daryl Coley.
- The choir makes regular tours and has performed in Atlanta, GA, Nashville, TN, Miami, FL, Orlando, FL, Tampa, FL, Washington, DC, Houston, TX, Dallas, TX, Las Vegas, NV, Kansas City, MO, Baltimore, MD, Charlotte, NC, and Newark, NJ.
Michael and Mechelle Grady had worked with a number of community youth organizations for more than 15 years prior to organizing Michael Grady and New Gulf Coast Choir, Inc. in August of 1997. The organization remains alcohol, tobacco, and drug free. It continues to offer periodic workshops addressing topics such as improving self esteem/self image, conflict resolution, drop out prevention, drug/gang awareness and prevention, AIDS information and prevention, healthy lifestyles, and career choices.
The choir is a non profit tax exempt organization as determined by the Internal Revenue Code 501 (c) (3).
